The AI Intersections Database maps the spaces where AI impacts meet key social justice areas and catalogs the people and organizations who are actively working to address the needs of the marginalized — or are well suited for engagement via partnerships.
Help us make it a robust resource for movement building! Please use this form to submit Actors, Issues, AI impacts, Justice Areas, contact info, and more. Our team will vet and edit all submissions and obtain permission before adding any Actors to the database.
Here are a couple definitions to get you started (learn more here):
Actors: Organizations and people who are either working on that issue or could be engaged via partnership to do so. Includes civil society organizations, social movement advocates and their organizations, academics and other researchers, government bodies, industry representatives, digital rights advocates, and funders.
Issues: The places where a social justice area and an AI impact intersect (e.g.: “Per this study, Company X’s algorithm for determining delivery speed in the United States discriminates against neighborhoods primarily populated by people of color.”)
